This is the public gallery in XtremeCamera. Members publish photos to this gallery to share with other members and non-members alike. When you join XtremeCamera you join as a Newbie, and as such Newbie's cannot upload to the public gallery, but are free to use all of the many features and benefits of our site. If you wish to publish the public gallery you must submit a dozen photos through your "portfolio" to our panel of editors. If they approve you your membership is elevated to Full Member, meaning that you can publish up to 10 photos per day (a minimum of 4 photos per week is required), as well as comment, vote, and critique other member's work. You can learn more by clicking the Membership Details link on the menu bar.
Side panels
Side panels allows you to view news, site stats or personalized account information. This Tab, called 'Welcome' disappears once you log in. The panel 'News' is a panel you should make sure to read each time you log in. We will post any vital information there.
Rating Filter
Your current rating filter is set to G, and all photos are filtered based on this setting. To change this setting and allow or censor content pick a rating from the drop down box below and click on update.
Terms of Service - Updated September 3rd, 2008
I. This Terms of Service (TOS) constitutes an agreement between you (Member) and XtremeCamera. The terms used in this agreement; "we," "us," and "our", refer to XtremeCamera and/or its delegates and assignees. The terms, "you" and "your" refer to you and/or anyone who you allow to use your account(s); and "upload" and "uploads" refers to any photograph, photo comment, forum post, or any other item that you have submitted and/or uploaded to XtremeCamera.
II. Memberships: You agree that we may change the types of memberships that are available at XtremeCamera and/or the benefits associated with membership at any time. We will provide to you an announcement prior to any changes in membership levels by way of an Admin Message to all account memberships. Please review the current membership offerings before signing up. Your membership will not change during the term of your membership with XtremeCamera.
III. Any Membership at XtremeCamera is non-refundable. You may cancel your membership at any time, and your membership can be cancelled at any time due to a violation of our Terms of Service.
IV. You agree to provide accurate information in all of the required fields of the registration form(s). Failure to provide accurate information will prevent you from acquiring and maintaining a Membership in good standing. Your Membership may be terminated or suspended for providing inaccurate information.
V. You must be at least 18-years-old to order, purchase, or receive a Membership with XtremeCamera. This rule applies only because we do not censor photographs and the chance of viewing adult material is evident due to the nature of the community. Although you may censor your own settings so that you do not have to view material you deem offensive, this is a voluntary action on your part.
VI. You agree that we may delete any of your uploads that we believe to be offensive, repugnant, or inappropriate. You agree to abide by our "Upload Guidelines" and failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in a suspended or terminated Membership.
VII. Photographer: You may only submit photographs to XtremeCamera if you are the copyright holder. It is up to you to determine your copyrights.
VIII. By submitting any photograph to XtremeCamera, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual right to reproduce an upload to the Member Gallery on XtremeCamera and to resize the image where needed. You also grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual right to reproduce your uploads on other sites on the Internet for the purpose of promoting XtremeCamera, in the form of advertisements only. You retain the copyrights and ownserships for all your uploads. ANT photo uploaded to your private gallery(s) cannot and will not be used by XtremeCamera for any reason whatsoever. IX. NEW 8-11-2008 You may edit or delete any upload that you submit to XtremeCamera during your Membership, unless otherwise noted. All uploads that remain on XtremeCamera after your Membership lapses will remain in XtremeCamera database(s) unless we delete them. If you request a critique by uploading a photo to the Critique Gallery you may delete the photo any time prior to having a critique published to your photo. Once a photo has been critiqued it cannot be edited or deleted. Only an Admin can delete a photo that has been critiqued. Not every photo uploaded to the Critique Gallery will be critiqued by an Admin. While we strive to critique each and every photo in the Critique Gallery we may not be able to. Our members who have earned the right to critique may also critique your photos.
X. CONDUCT: You must make every effort to treat other Members with respect and goodwill. You should notify our administrators when breaches of civility and respect occur, we do not tolerate "flame wars" and starting or participating in acts of ill will can result in an immediate termination of your Membership. We realize that there will be differences of opinion and that things can get "heated". However, if you would not say something to someone in a face-to-face encounter you should not say it online. Common Sense and Common Decency is paramount to having a successful membership with XtremeCamera.
XI. We do not accept illegal uploads. Should any of your uploads be deemed illegal by any legal entity having jurisdiction over you, then our Privacy Policy will cease to be in effect. If we are subpoenaed by a legal entity we will have to cooperate. Please be aware of your actions on XtremeCamera at all times. Again, Common Sense rules the day.
XII. You agree that we may use advertisements and/or promotions on XtremeCamera at various times, with or without notice to you. Ads and promotions will be used at our discretion.
XIII. You agree to indemnify and hold XtremeCamera, our subsidiaries, affiliates, delegates, officers, agents, or other partners now or in the future, including our licensees and/or employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including attorneys fees, made by any or all third parties due to, or arising out of, your uploads, comments, ratings, or any other input, through your use of XtremeCamera, your affiliation with XtremeCamera, your violation of the Terms of Service (TOS), or your violation of any rights of another, whether you are a registered Member or not. You are solely responsible for your actions when using XtremeCamera, including, but not limited to, costs incurred for Internet access.
XIV. NEW 8-11-2008 CRITIQUES: XtremeCamera exists for the purpose of educating photographers of any artistic or skill level. Education can be in the forum of critiques, comments, online chat, classroom settings, and other methods. We strive to be honest and direct in our Admin Critiques. While you may feel that your photo was critiqued harshly, it is our intent to be honest rather than offer false praise. An honest critique may contain high praise or point out a myriad of problems with the technique or subject matter. Members that have earned the right to critique photos must adhere to the official XtremeCamera Guidelines To Critiques, which is available for download.
XIV. This Terms Of Service is subject to change without notice to you. XtremeCamera will, on occasion, update the Terms of Use and/or Upload Guidelines. You agree that your continued Membership in XtremeCamera constitutes acceptance of any changes we might make. For changes to the Terms of Service (TOS), Upload Guidelines, or Terms of Use, XtremeCamera will notify you by placing prominent notice on our 'News' tab, or through the use of the XtremeCamera Message System.
Return Policy
You are strongly urged to try a trial membership if you are concerned about your purchase amount. Memberships are not refundable.
