Our membership is $49.95 annually (that’s less than $5.00 a month) and offers substantially more features and benefits than any other photo community. Membership Features
5GB of storage for your photographs - Enough space on our servers to store thousands of you photos. With a maximum upload size of 8MB each, 5GB is plenty of storage for even the most demanding photographers. And more space is available for a small fee.
Unlimited Photo Albums
As a member you can create and manage as many photo albums as you want. We offer a drag and drop organization page for each member so that you can upload any number of photos to any album and then drag, drop, or delete them by simply dragging them from album to album, or directly to the trash.
Password Protected Photo Albums - Want to upload photos that no one can see other than you or your client? As a member you can password protect one or all of your albums and make sure they are safe from prying eyes.Your Own Private Gallery - All of your photos are available to you in one gallery. Better yet, all the photos you have uploaded to the Member Gallery can be gathered up and presented to any member when they want to view your body of work. Private photos are not available to members unless you want them to be.
A Favorites Gallery That You Manage - Ever wander through a gallery of photos on other sites and wish you could collect your favorite ones to view later on? On XtremeCamera its as easy as clicking an icon. You can gather up up to 500 favorites and manage them anytime you want.
A MultiPhoto Uploader - No one wants to upload photos to their private galleries or photo albums one at a time, so XtremeCamera offers a flash-based multiphoto uploader than allows you to upload one or 1 thousand photos in one upload. These photos will upload to the photo album your choose, or create a brand new album right then and there and upload to it.
Photo Management the XC Way! - "Organize Your Photos" in a way that is almost magical. We created a great solution to photo organization with our custom web application. It will allow you to manage your photos through our unique 'Drag N Drop' browser interface. Dragging photos into and out of your albums is as easy as using iPhoto, iView Media Pro, or any other computer application. Photos and photo albums update instantly through the magic of AJAX, without having to refresh your browser. You can choose how many albums to show on the page, how many photos to show in each gallery, and drag photos in and out of galleries whenever you like. You'll have to try it to believe it! Your Own Homepage/Blog - Each member has their own sub-domain homepage with blogging features. There you can publish your own reviews, your own thoughts about photography, or anything else. Its your homepage! And its available to everyone right under your custom avatar. Your username, followed by xtremecamera.com is your own special address on our site.
The XtremeUploader Appilcation (Mac only for now) - If you are a Mac user (PC version coming soon) you can download our free photo uploader application called XtremeUploader and upload dozens of photos in a single step. No need to use our single-photo upload page, all uploads go through the application into your private galleries so you can manage them when you have the time. You can upload a batch of photos and later choose which ones you want to appear in the Member Gallery, if any. Simply drag a folder from your desktop onto the application (or just drag a bunch of photos onto it), choose either a NEW photo album or an existing photo album and click the upload button. In just a few seconds (or few minutes depending on your internet connection) your photos will upload to XtremeCamera. No muss, no fuss!
Video and Audio Galleries - As a member you have access to our video upload galleries, and audio MP3’s as well. This is a new addition to XtremeCamera with little content. You can upload public videos or to our own private video gallery. Upload or listen to MP3’s, podcasts, video-casts, and more.
Unlimited Messaging System - Our internal messaging system allows you to contact any member at any time. Simply type in the username of the member and type your message. Its that easy. Careful though, no SPAMMING is allowed.
5 Photo Uploads To The Critique Gallery - Our Member Gallery is where you go to browse great photography or submit your own to receive critiques and comments from the Admins and other members. Learn more about photography, inspire others, or get inspired. You can upload 5 photos a day to the Member Gallery.
Professional Photo Critiques - Our Admins are all professional photographers with years of experience. We critique the photos in the Member Gallery and help point out things the member might not see, or explain why your photo is just so good (or bad). We don’t pull any punches, we’re direct, honest, and sometimes brutal. But we do it with love, and a strong desire to make you a better photographer. Plus, we encourage ALL our members to critique and comment on every photo.
Tutorials And Reviews - Members, Admins, and Professional Photographers offer great tutorials on digital techniques, Photoshop, and more. You’ll learn plenty with out tutorials. Sometimes written, sometimes video, always entertaining.
