Basic Photography Course 101 Begins This Month
July 15, 2008 1:00 amToday, XtremeCamera is announcing the formation of its first of many photography online courses, Basic Photography 101.
This course will be conducted in our dedicated chat room we have set up just for these courses, which you will see listed under your control panel in a few days.
How It Will Work
First, sign up for the class at our contact page (Problem?). Indicate the best times you would be available to attend the courses. They will be held once a week. We would like to do them on a weeknight, 7:30PM EDT, if at all possible, but will accommodate to the majority wishes. Classes will run about an hour long, depending on the liveliness of the discussion and the images discussed. The course will run 6 weeks, at which time Basic Photo 102 will begin the following week and another Basic Photo 101, if there is the demand.
All members attending the class will be sent specific instructions a several days before classes begin.

Non-members are eligible to attend through a special membership at the cost of $35 for the six-week course. This membership allows the member into the site, but no privileges other than attending the class, having a single, temporary, private gallery to upload assignment photographs. Non-members are eligible to attend only if space allows.
Members that do not sign up for the course will not have access to the dedicated chat room or the course gallery in order to allow attending students maximum exposure to the courses. So, if you are interested in attending please sign up. There are a maximum number of 20 members and special members for each class. The 21st member/special member will automatically be put on the list for the 2nd Basic 101 class. When that class is scheduled they will be notified via email.
Naturally, if the demand is there we’ll make adjustments and could possibly begin 2 classes simultaneously. We feel that 20 students per class is the maximum amount of people to ensure that everyone gets the most of the class.
First class will be, if everyone can agree, on July 31st.
First come, first serve. So sign up today!
Non-members interested should contact John Manzione at jmanzione AT xtremecamera DOT COM
