John Manzione is one of the original founders of XtremeCamera, going all the way back to 1997. Today John serves as an active Admin for the community, as well as a photographer, and a writer.
John began his photography career way back in 1973, turned pro in 1975 (by working for a local newspaper), and went commercial in 1978.
In the 1980's John's attention turned away from photography toward family and his work was mostly private, non-commercial projects for his own amusement.
In the 1990's John discovered Photoshop and soon began designing magazine covers for hobbyist magazines. John's work has graced the covers of Aquarium magazine more times than he’d liked to admit. (ed: Hey, it was a living) He also wrote an international column that received critical and popular praise called "My Life With Kosmo" (don't ask!).
In the new century John's focus has turned to creating a community of photographers using the Internet as a way to share and talk about photography with members from around the world. He has also gone back to his favorite photography subject, the female nude, a field of photography that has held his passion since the beginning of time, or 1973, whichever came first.
You can find John's work in the Member Gallery, at his own private homepage here on XtremeCamera (http://jmanzione.xtremecamera.com), (NSFW) and on the Daily Snapshot several times a week.
You can message John through the XC Message System by typing jmanzione into the 'To: ' field. You can email him at jmanzione AT XtrmemeCamera DOT Com.
And of course, the other Admins here at XtremeCamera will have their own biographies set up very soon. Julia Barnes, Steven McBride, and the others look forward to getting equal time.
